In keeping with its tradition of charitable giving, PAPP IRON WORKS has donated the following items to those less fortunate.
A total of 114 children’s book for each child to take home from The King’s Daughters Day School located in Plainfield, NJ. The mission of the Day School is to provide children of working parents with developmentally appropriate educational programs in a nurturing environment in order to build a foundation for becoming responsible, productive members of society. To foster literacy and encourage a lifelong love of reading, it is necessary for to children read at home as well as at school. Many of The King’s Daughters families cannot afford such luxuries as books.
Clothing for 15 adults through the Agapé House in Somerville, NJ. We provided 15 winter coats, 21 pairs of pants, 19 shirts and 15 packs of socks. The mission of Agapé House is to provide shelter and compassionate, supportive services to homeless families and individuals so that they may achieve self-sufficiency and independent living. Agapé House is a 60-bed facility providing emergency shelter, child enrichment activities and services to homeless families, single women and children. Residents are provided with 24-hour staff support and supervision, case management, workshops, housing, supplemental food, clothing and household items.
Supporting America’s military in their time of need, we once again are providing funding to the Fisher House for 20 families to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time — during hospitalization for a combat injury or illness. The funding we’ve provided allows 7 weeks lodging for 20 families of injured servicemen at the Womack Army Medical Center located at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Fisher House is non-profit organization that provides “a home away from home” for families of active duty servicemen receiving medical care at major Military and VA medical centers throughout the country.
