JIM BORDINO RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MEDAL
Jim Bordino is a WWII Army veteran who joined the
service upon graduation from High School in 1943 and rose to PFC serving in the
European Theatre of Operations serving in Cannon Company,
405th Regiment, 102nd Infantry Division. Jim's unit
was the first allied forces to cross the Roer River on February 23rd 1945.

action while in Germany. He
received the Bronze Star as well as the Purple Heart and was honorably
discharged in January 1946. Jim Bordino, who retired in 2004,
was one of our firm’s more colorful
characters with over 50 years of steel construction experience, enjoys boating,
fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren whenever he’s not
working as a steel consultant.

received NJ’s highest military award, the “Distinguished Service Medal”.
